Drop your thermostat 7-10°F at night or when you're not home — that one habit shaves about 10% off your monthly bill. A smart thermostat does it for you, so you set it once and forget it.

A warm breaker is a warning
If a breaker trips over and over, or the panel feels warm to the touch, don't just keep resetting it. That's the system telling you a circuit is overloaded or a connection is failing. Call a licensed electrician before it becomes a fire. Most older Valley homes on 100-amp panels simply weren't built for today's appliances, EV chargers, and HVAC loads.

Exercise the generator monthly
Run your standby under load for 30 minutes once a month. Sitting idle is what kills a generator — the goal is to keep the oil moving and the battery topped up so it kicks on the day you actually need it.
